The clamshells that I use have all been found on the beaches of the Jersey Shore. I make sure that each shell is throughly cleaned before applying my designs, which I do by hand directly onto the shell. Once the ink has dried completely, I seal the front surface with an acrylic gloss varnish. Because I create the designs directly on the shell, no two shells are ever exactly alike. Due to the natural element of the seashell, there may be some natural imperfections to the surface and edges of the shells. The back of the shell is left natural. No animals were harmed in the collecting or designing of this shell.

Your shell ships in a crush proof mailer cushioned among paper shred in its box wrapped in tissue paper, and encased in a layer of bubble wrap. Please note that shell may shift during shipping.
